02-24-2007: "Tomarrow" was a little later than I thought. I had some trouble with the servers and real life situations, but all should be good now. We are up to 422 models as of this packet.

Now comes the REAL fun: a major update to the format of this site, i.e. the new Quick-Nav menu system.

Random Thought of the Day: Time flies; too bad that it goes out the window before you can catch it. O_o

02-10-2007: Due to personal events beyond my control, I had to put off two packets for a while. But everything's good on my end now, and I am finally catching up with what was needed to be uploaded. This current packet was exclusively for the Free Flight Rubber Scale Category, and it is the first of all the catagories to break 100. There are now 391 models uploaded to the site in total. The next packet will be uploaded tomarrow.

As far as the new menuing system, It will be going into effect as soon as possible. I will be coding the entire menu off line and then revamping the entire online site with it. I will let you know exactly when I am ready to do so.

Random Thought of the Day: When life hands you a lemon, you can either a) make lemonade, b) eat it no matter how sour it is, or c) you can wind it up and chuck it right back at the guy who threw it at ya in the first place. Just make sure you hit the culprit between the eyes. ^_^

12-26-2006: I hope everyone's holiday went well! By the way, it's a little late, but my Holiday Gift is finally here: more models! The total count is now 362, just 38 short of 400! ^_^ Another heavy packet will break that mark easily.

Random Thought of the Day: It's better to give than to recieve, unless it's a server giving a web designer trouble. >_<

12-19-2006: It's been a while since the last major update because of the Christmas holidays. The current count, nonetheless, is now 332. There will probably be no more updates until after the holiday season. Speaking of updates, I will be implementing the new Quick-Nav Menu System sometime in January. I will give you an ample notice when.

Random Thought of the Day: Dear Santa: ....Never mind. You don't want to know how bad I've been this year. Just leave the dump truck full of coal in my front yard and I'll sort through it later. Your friend, Molly. O_o

11-29-2006: Update2: The experimental background for the Main Menu was a success, and I figured, why not make all the secondary pages have the background for that extra kick? So now, the Current Stats, Acknowledgements, and Disclaimer pages all have the "complimentary" background. I'd appreciate any feedback; please contact me if you have comments, criticisms, rants, or questions about the new background.

Update: I am testing a new background image for the Side (Main) Menu. It just seems a little stale to have the same background for everything, but the challenge is to make one that compliments the main background while giving a variety. The other part is to keep it simple, and not have it active and gaudy like some other sites do. The one I just uploaded seems to be pretty cool, but I'm always experimenting with the offline version (the break-me, if you will) of the site, so some new stuff might just pop up in the future.

Current Count: 310. Apparently, there were a few models that were coded, but I skipped over when I uploaded them to the site. This recent "correction packet" fixes all that. I apologize. I'm not perfect. O_o

Random Thought of the Day: "It can only be attributable to human error." - Hal 9000, 2001: A Space Odyssey

11-26-2006: First, I made a goof and put an update under a new day by accident, so I fixed that just now. Second, there are now 299 models now uploaded to the site. I've been working overtime to make sure the demands for the Christmas Rush have been met.

Random Thought of the Day: Leftover ham makes a great breakfast. O_o

11-25-2006: UPDATE:Wow! 'Next week' comes sooner than one thinks. After this latest "packet," we are now at 277 models. More will arrive as they are sent for indexing, so keep checking back every week!

The holiday shopping sprees are stepping up, and so is the model count on our site! We are now at 241 models, and another packet is due to arrive for indexing within the next week or so.

Random Thought of the Day: Over-indulging on a Thanksgiving feast to the point of being cross-eyed is not necessarily a good thing. x_x

11-18-2006: We are now at 207 models, breaking the 200 mark at last. I have some more I'm indexing right now and they will be up sometime this week. This current "packet" had a couple of delays, though. One was a family emergency and the other was the fact that my connection was knocked off line during a heavy rain storm. It's here now though. Hopefully the next one won't be so long a wait.

Random Thought of the Day: Nothing gets me started better in the mornings than a cold cup of guava nectar and a bagel with cream cheese.... well, in my case, cream cheese with bagel. O_o

11-03-2006: We are now up to 177 Models, including 2 in Unique UFO and 2 my personal favorite, Unique Woot. ^_^

Random Thought of the Day: Have you ever had one of those days that just seems too long?

10-27-2006: A major jump: 140 models now Available!

Due to the fact that the holiday season is drawing near, I will not be able to impliment the new menu system until sometime in January. The Site would require going down for a while and with the season so close, I thought it would be a better idea not to inconvienence the holiday shoppers.

Random Thought of the Day: Can you spot the Web-Master's planted joke on this model?

10-20-2006: UPDATE: I have completed a working "preview" of the new Quick-Nav Menu system. You can test it here. Since this will be a very important upgrade, feedback would be much appreciated. I will not be implimenting this change until next week to allow for comments and such.

The uploading of the latest packet brings the count to 109, officially breaking the 100 mark! Yay! ^_^

You will notice that the model page for the U-Control-Stunt Easy Stunter is a little wierd. You have to select the size to open a Pop-up window with the Add To Cart Button. It's an odd way of doing it, but the Paypal code strictly limits itself to one price only (granted, you can have a setting for "options" but the price would still be the same regardless. That doesn't help when the plan sizes call for different prices.) I don't know why, but that's the way they work. My first thought was to make six different versions of the same page with the different sizes and prices for each one.

Not only would that have been a headache to code, but it would inconvienence you, the customer, as well, having to bounce out and in to six different pages just to get the size you wanted. And I wasn't about to put you through that mess.

That said, I spliced a few JavaScript codes together so that, when you select the size you want, a pop-up window appears, creating a "temporary page" that includes the appropriate coding for the pricing of the model. Thus, I was able to code the "add to cart" button six times on the page but still give you the convienence of seeing everything on one page. The only inconvienence is that the current code doesn't automatically add the plan to the cart, so you have to manually push the button. -_-; I apologize for that.

As far as the alert that pops up when you click on it, I can't seem to get rid of it without breaking the code. As soon as I do though, I will recode as necessary.

Also, I want to let you all know that the site will soon be going down for a day or so while I completely revamp "Quick Navigation" Menu System. I finally found a code that gives me the Menu System I wanted in the beginning without having to copy/paste/modify the entire code on every single page! It is basically two lines of code, which point to a central file, that initiates the menu by pure JavaScript, not by the "div" code the other relied on so heavily. It is also cross-platform-multi-browser, so it should work with everything.

The current Quick-Nav Menu has served its purpose well, but I wanted something more proffessional and easier to modify. As it sets, it is at its maximum limit and it would involve changing the size of the window codes, imprinted on each page, to expand it. That would be a major headache. Granted, it will be a small headache while I revamp/upload everything to the site, but once it's done, the new menu system will be much better, easier to work with, and even better suited all around.

I am still in the process of coding the new menu on the off-line version of this site, so it may be a day or so before I am ready to upload it.

Random Thought of the Day: Nothing like a good cup of JavaScript to start the day.....

10-16-2006: The total count of the Models Uploaded has now come to 99. That's a relatively small jump, but it's a jump nonetheless. As far as the Update Status, I had to move it to its own page (accessable by the link above) because it was getting too long. And, I will also note that the Update Status is here to stay by popular demand from several users.

Some of you may be worndering why you saw a pop-up on your way into the main portion of the site. Please do not be alarmed, it's not one of those pesky ads (I know, I hate pop-up ads too.) Someone suggested that the "Current Model Status" window should be made available the moment you enter the site, and I thought it was a wonderful idea and made the window pop up like that. If you don't like it, you may drop me an email and let me know so I can start work on a compromise. I love a good HTML Challenge now and then anyway.

Also, there is a Before/After picture that has been added to the Restoration Page. It shows just how good these folks are at restoring plans. I can tell you that when I first saw the pic, I couldn't believe it myself. These guys do an excellent job! ^_^

Random Thought of the Day: So, Insomnia Jones, we meet again.......

09-07-2006: We now have a total of 80 models, which is a huge jump from 55. This is the first major update in a while, I know. Extenuating circumstances took me away from the computer for a long time, so I have a lot of catching up to do. O_o

Random Thought of the Day: Some of you have been wondering if I could program a site for you. I'd be more than happy to. Just drop me an email and I will give you a free consultation.

07-06-2006: I finally gave the index page a long-overdue make-over. When the site first started, it was ok as it was, but with the addition of new features, it became cluttered and was, for lack of better description, bland. I have given it a more professional look to spice it up a bit and saved the old file as a back up, but I don't think I will be needing it.

Random Thought of the Day: Migraines are the death of a programmer....

07-05-2006: Back from the holiday, and I will be uploading some models either this afternoon or tomarrow. I have a lot of catch-up work to do.

For the model enthusiast, I put together a special treat, especially if they're looking for others who share the same interest. Click here to find out what it is. Please note that it's pending approval from the folks at Tedd's Hobbies.

Random Thought of the Day: Efforts that fail aren't a waste of time. They are a learning experiance. - Molly, 2006.

06-30-2006: A good update to RC-Gas-Scale, bringing the total to 48. I will be uploading more as the day progresses.

The program I wrote is simply amazing. It takes me only 5 minutes to code a model where it took me 30 before.

Update: Only one more model uploaded today. I got busy with a home project.

Random Thought of the Day: Dang it, Jim, I'm a Web Programmer, not a doctor!

06-29-2006: Total count now is 41. I also added scroll bars to the "Navigation Window."

I developed a Javascript code that will help me generate the codes for models much quicker. That's why no new ones were uploaded after my big rush yesterday morning.

Random Thought of the Day: Don't you just love how your spouse decides that he/she will set tasks for you to do, especially if you have a work-from-home job? Sometimes I wish I had a rolling pin....

06-28-2006: More models uploaded. Total Count is now 34 and my day isn't done yet. Check back soon for an updated count!

I also added a little note to the index to let all of you know that the "Add to Cart" and "View Cart" buttons open in a new window, so don't be alarmed when you use them. There are no ads on this site; I personally make sure of that.

Also, on the subject of modifications, I have highlighted all the catagories that have models in them so that you know which section has new models in them for convienence.

Update: I know that the number of models on this site is not much, and some of you are looking for the few models that are on here with great difficulty. That is why I am launching a "portable version" of the above status and adding the button onto the "home" page as well.

I code all these pages by hand, and to "disable" the unused letters will only prove to be a difficult task later on when I upload all 1000+ models to the site, as I would have to re-enable each letter page. I understand that this is a major headache right now and I assure you it won't last much longer. I apologize sincerely for the inconvienence.

Random Thought of the Day: Working at home has a perfect advantage, especially if your car is at the shop.

06-27-2006: More models have been added to Free-Flight Rubber Scale, bringing the total number of models now to 26. I am also currently working on coding a search feature that will be available soon.

Random Thought of the Day: I could really go for some chinese right now. Or a chicken sandwich. Or maybe a sweet and sour chicken sandwich. O_o

06-22-2006: Some more models have been uploaded. Total count to date is 16. Family is coming down so work on the site will be suspended for tomarrow.

Random Thought of the Day: I think I will pass on learning PHP for now. I just looked over a "theme" for a PHP-based board and was shocked at all the files I would have to modify to get the color scheme and background in place! Granted, HTML takes longer but it's far more easy to use (and if tweaked right, more compact.) Though it's a little more work, I am familiar with it. To convert the entire site would be a headache. O_o

06-21-2006: Just a quick note for now: I want to let you, the customer, know that the "Current Model Status" for this page will disappear when we have 100 or more items displayed and cataloged on the website (unless it is decided that it's worth keeping.) The status is only up for now to let you know where the current items are so that you don't get lost searching for them. Keep in mind that this is only a -tiny- fraction of what our catalog will evenutally be.

Web Developer's Log, Supplemental: I finally have the "Other Plans" Button installed, and I modified the home button slightly- it didn't really fit the theme of the other buttons at all. (Okay, Okay, I know the Captain's log stuff is cliche, but I couldn't resist. O_o)

Random Thought of the Day: I am working with the old fasioned "HTML" coding, as the server does not support PHP/MySqul yet. And at this point, I've come way too far to switch it over now, even if said languages became supported this instant. In the future, I have thought of possibly re-vamping the site using PHP, but I feel that HTML is more stable. Granted, you don't get the sleek "Amazon.com Style" look and feel like other websites have, but it has a "home made" appearence and a rustic charm. What do you think?

06-20-2006: This site has been up for some time, but I think today I should let everyone know that it is fully operational and ready for the models (with the exception of that one pesky button for the "Other Models" Catagory I still have to make. I'll get to it, I promse.) As it is, there are a few models up now. Not as much as we'd like to have, but enough to get started. More model pages will be uploaded as I recieve them from my bosses (mostly within the week.)

I would also like to take the time now to give a thank you for a friend who helped me code the Alphabetical Indexes and saved me a lot of time. Thank you, James. You saved me from the last-minute deadline anxiety. ^_^

That's my news for now, but stay tuned. I'll let you all know of updates on a daily (or at least weekly) basis of the number of models uploaded and where you can find them.

Random Thought of the Day: I have to say, it's been an interesting journey from the "sample site" I created some time ago. It took a lot of man hours (90% of that being the fact I was banging my head against the keyboard wondering what I did wrong when various HTML and JavaScript codes failed, but that's another story) and dedication, but I have to say that this has been my first major professional site project other than my small Dream Catcher buisness site. I look forward to the partnership with Tedd's Hobbies, that's for sure. ^_^
